Our class trip to Ireland

From the 2nd to the 9th of October the classes 4a and 4c went on a trip to Ireland. At first we had to get through a lot of travelling -  check in, security checks  etc.  Finally on the plane most of us saw Ireland for the first time in their lives. After we had arrived at Dublin Airport we were driven to a drop off point where we met our host families. It was a very friendly welcome.  Then they showed us our rooms where we spent the next week. In the evenings we had enough time to speak English with them and learn new specific Irish vocabulary like “Dart” (trains in Dublin). Every morning a bus drove us to school where we learned a lot of new vocabulary. After school we had some free time for shopping or a lunch break. We also went to a lot of sights for example to  Dublin Zoo and the National Wax Museum. Thanks to Raiffeisenbank Premstätten and Bäckerei Steiner for sponsoring the admission fees! At the weekend there was no school and we and had a trip to Glendalough and went for a cliff walk in Howth. These trips were very amazing and I think all the pupils had a lot of fun. I want to thank the parents and the teachers that they gave us the chance to see this beautiful country and learn a lot of English.
