Ireland 2014

From October 1st to 8th we, the 4th classes, went to Ireland with Mr. and Mrs. Orthacker. We flew with Aerlingus and it was very exciting, because for some of us it was the first flight. After we had arrived a coach drove us to Drogheda, which is a little town north of Dublin. There we met our host families for the first time. They were very nice, friendly and it was a very cordial welcome.

The following days we went to school and made cool trips. The trip we liked the most was the one to Howth Harbour. There we took a cliff walk with amazing views and finally we ate the most delicious fish and chips you can imagine. It was really great.

On our last day we received our certificates and acted out our self-written sketches. After visiting the National Wax museum we saw lots of police motorbikes, black vans and in the middle a limousine with the Austrian president, Heinz Fischer, who had just visited the Irish Prime Minister. Unfortunately time passed too fast and soon it was Wednesday and we had to fly back to Vienna. At Vienna airport we met the Austrian National Football team and some of us were lucky to take photos with David Alaba.

It had been an exciting and beautiful trip and it was also worth the money. Finally we want to thank “Bäckerei Steiner” and Raiffeisen Bank Thalerhof-Unterpremstätten” for supporting us.
